Ashp 2024 Residency Objectives List. Pgy1 residency programs build upon doctor of pharmacy (pharmd) education and outcomes to develop pharmacist practitioners with knowledge, skills, and abilities as defined in the educational competency. The competency areas, goals, and objectives are for use with the ashp accreditation standard for postgraduate year two (pgy2) pharmacy residency.

Observable, measurable statements describing what residents will be able to do as a result of participating in the residency program. The safety and quality residency gems will highlight pgy1 and pgy2 residency projects that improve medication safety in their organizations.
